Duke of Edinburgh award

I am officially a Duke of Edinburgh Award participant! For those who don't know this is a non-competitive youth award managed by the participants themselves. They select their own activities, adventures and skills to incorporate and then over the course (in my case) of a year I complete hours of training and self discipline.

This peeked my interest a week ago and I dove right in to find out everything I could about it. More than it being an excellent youth program it gives us the opportunity to challenge ourselves. I am very excited to begin my journey and can't wait to share it with everyone!
