Although not thrilled to have left Scotland, it was relaxing to come home to nothing for a couple days. It didn't last for long though.

After pool parties over the long weekend, painting a friends bar, catching up with friends and a few casual meetings it's time to start my year once again.

The start of my year includes school, cadets, band and a new job. It also includes lessons on a practice chanter and a dance class. I'm looking forward to keeping busy and managing all my activities. Along with all of my regular activities, I've been given some further responsibility with the band. They may pose a bit of a challenge but I'm thrilled to try and tackle it with the help of some very supportive individuals.

It has been an incredible adjustment coming back from Edinburgh. Not seeing people who I was surrounded by all day, working on a very different time schedule and of course not experiencing the rush of performing in front of roughly 9,000 people each evening. I have always had trouble transitioning back to my Canadian lifestyle but with my life so full it's been a bit easier this year.

In the coming months I hope my responsibilities and activities improve some of my life skills. My tie management and my administrative abilities. This is what I am most looking forward to this year. My self development.

It's been almost a year since I last posted. I suppose my busy year did it exactly that... kept me busy! I've had a whirlwind year full...
